Sketchbook: ArtHop Birthday Bash

Thanks to Win-River Casino for allowing me to borrow their MacBook Pro in order to do some on-site sketches at ArtHop's First Birthday Bash Saturday in Library Park. Also contributing to the set-up at's booth was Alan of Alan Phillips Productions, who hooked up an additional monitor so folks could watch the sketches happen on the spot.

We had a blast, ate some cupcakes and spent time with our favorite people in the universe, ArtHoppers (who are also readers)adamuse

What a cool party, with lemonade and cupcakes for all. It was fun to see all the art hoppers & food-for-thoughters out and about (even Phil). I join the rest of the nation in congratulating Troy and Adam for getting such a cool concept off the ground and running.

I'm looking forward to the second birthday party!

  2. Great sketches, Phil. Really lively. Love 'em. And Happy Anniversary ArtHop!!

Thanks, Benita! That was the first time I've taken a laptop and the Wacom out for a spin "live"… thanks to some technical help, I think it worked pretty well. I was able to give away some sketches on 4GB thumb drives (courtesy of Win-River) instead of bulky butcher paper. I had fun. I'll have to sucker YOU into giving it a try next time!
