Prom is tonight!!!!! I am so excited, it’s not even funny! Usually, I try not to do things that are typical to a high school girl, but when it comes to prom, I am just as eager as any other stereotypical senior. I mean, come on! It’s prom!
It took a while to get everything set up for tonight. Nothing is ever simple for me. Especially when my boyfriend’s graduation is tonight as well. At the same time as prom. So, we had to reschedule a few things with dinner and my hair appointment, because we have to celebrate with his family as well as with our friends, and we have to arrive an hour late to prom. We already have it all planned out, too. He’s going to get his diploma onstage, open it to make sure it’s his, then leap off the stage and make a run for it with me. In full prom gear, of course. I hope someone gets a picture.
Besides prom, a few days ago, I gave my senior speech. It’s an annoying way of making us prove what we’ve learned through all four years, and how we’ve grown as a person. It was hilarious. I can’t believe how completely relaxed I was in front of the judges, and the rest of my class. I guess that speech contest really did help. Speaking in front of 46 people is not intimidating when you’ve spoken in front of 200.
To top it all off, next week is my 18th birthday. I will be a legal adult. Now I want to know why they couldn’t let me vote a week ago!
(I’ll tell you what’s going on for the senior class over the weekend next time! It’s a secret!)
