Event needs more than 200 community volunteers now to help provide a full range of services and support for homeless families. For information, call 530-225-5160. Event will include on-site assistance with counseling, housing, benefits, education, health care, employment and behavioral health. Plus: Food, clothing, haircuts, entertainment, and children’s activities, all in one location.
It’s a new way of doing business, focused on immediacy, hospitality, and results for homeless neighbors.
The innovation of Project Homeless Connect fuses political and civic will be a one-day, one-stop array of resources to provide the hospitality and the support to create a trajectory out of homelessness.
Project Homeless Connect is equal parts welcoming homeless neighbors into the life of the community, changing the way resources are accessed, and achieving quantifiable results for people experiencing homelessness.
