The big Home and Garden Show is this weekend at the Redding Convention Center, and Doni, Kelly and the team from ANewsCafe.com will have a booth there, so stop by and say howdy.
Doni will do cooking demonstrations both Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and will also help staff the booth, along with husband/business mastermind Bruce Greenberg. Our ad sales team, Linda Woodcook and Scott Johnson, will be around all day both days.
Phil Fountain pledges to roll out of bed on Saturday and be available for vegetable pelting from 10 a.m. until noon, and Jim Dyar pledges to roll out of bed in time to be there by 2 p.m. Saturday
Kelly and I should be in the booth from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday, but we might be there at other times, too. You can never tell about us. At least I can’t.
- More Garden Fodder: Mark your calendars for April 16-18, when the Shasta College Horticulture Club hosts its annual plant sale at the college farm. All kinds of plants at the sale, which is the club’s major fundraiser for the year. For more information, contact horticulture instructor Leimone Waite at 242-2210.
- DVDs We’ve Seen: “La Mujer de Mi Hermano,” a soapish Latin American drama about a woman so disillusioned with her boring marriage that she takes up with her scruffy artist brother-in-law. Surprise, it turns out he’s irresponsible.
