Things’ll be hopping in Redding this weekend. Not only is it time for the always popular Second Saturday ArtHop (click here for details), but the Sundial Film Festival runs Friday through Sunday at the Cascade Theatre.
The festival, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Redding, focuses on short films and digital photography. Click here for the schedule and ticket prices. A News Cafe staff and friends are helping with the decorations for the Saturday night gala reception, which should be a blast. (The gala, not the decorating.)
- Oh, what a relief it is to snap awake and find that the leaky ceiling and flooded floor were all a dream. Whew. Weird week here at Brewer’s House of Insomnia and Night Terrors.
- Oldie: A priest, a rabbi and a mullah walk into a bar. The bartender says, “What is this? A joke?”
- Speaking of puerile humor: Be sure to stop by A News Cafe on Thursday. Cartoonist extraordinaire Phil Fountain and I have dreamed up a little something special. Heh-heh.
