Corner Booth: Flower Power

It feels like a spring outside and fruit trees are blooming all over town, so why not focus on flowers this evening?

Shasta College students are putting on a floral show called “Springtime in Paris” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tonight at Redding City Hall on Cypress Avenue. The show is part of the Master Floral Certificate Program.

  • A new art show begins Monday at the Shasta College Art Gallery, displaying recent paintings by Nellie King Solomon. The show runs March 2 through April 17, and the artist will give a lecture on March 18. For more information, click here.
  • Another cool event set for Monday is a concert by Crystal Harmony, a trio from Siberia that plays instruments made of glass. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. at the Redding Convention Center. For more info on the group and the concert, click here.
