The Randy Miller Story
You may know Randy. In 1997 he and Tom Carlson created Metolius Concrete Construction and may have poured your home’s foundation. You may have seen Randy’s incredible drumming skills with Seattle-based rock band, The Myriad, who were crowned Winner of MTV2’s 2007 Dew Circuit Breakout Band of the Year.
In October of 2008, Randy Miller was diagnosed with Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma, a very rare form of bone cancer. While fighting this battle Randy will be unable to pour concrete or play in his band. Family, friends, church, and community members are doing what we can to support him and his wife, Kris, his 11 year old son, Conor, and his 9 year old daughter, Gillian through this difficult time.
Jim Dyar wrote about Miller recently.
Now this note from Monica Templeton, owner of Monica’s Vintage Inspired:
“Randy Miller is a dear friend of ours for 20 years. Not only did he complete our side driveway for our home, he built our beautiful outdoor grill/kitchen, and he is my husband’s hunting buddy of many, many years.
We first saw Randy play when he played for a band called “Stealth” over 12 years ago and were amazed by his talent. We attended his wedding, where we grew to love his wife, Kristen, and have watched their babies grow. He is one of the kindest, gentlest men I have the honor of knowing (next to my husband).
The point is to let you know that I have a brand new “Wii” in its original packaging, that we were getting ready to gift to our oldest daughter for Christmas. Our family thought it would be best to raffle it off for Randy instead.”
