I just returned from Nevada where I completed a photography assignment for Food for Thought: A News Cafe. Seems the Editorial Staff wanted to do a piece on a guy famous for his fabric and batik work. It was a long trip just for a few photos of a guy dipping sheets into big tubs of colorful liquid. I guess you could say; I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him dye.
I never really understood why George Jetson got so upset with Jane about the whole “treadmill” thing. I mean, they lived in outer space, right? Wouldn’t lack of oxygen be his biggest problem? Or maybe his head exploding due to conditions outside and him with no space helmet? I mean, put things in perspective, George. Jeesh.
I always thought that there was such a thing as pink lemons. There’s pink lemonade isn’t there? You can understand where my confusion came from, can’t you? I really don’t want to know how they get the lemonade pink… it can’t be good. Still, no excuse for a grown man to believe in pink lemons.
I also found out that “corn dogs” are not made from corn or dogs. Do you know what it’s like to have your favorite luncheon repast of corn dogs and pink lemonade proven a farce? I’m too old to have the rug pulled out from under me like this.
TRUE FACT: Did you know that despite being unceremoniously dumped by the good ol’ Record Searchlight for taking up with the likes of Doni and Kelly, that my old blog is still housed on their website? Weird, huh? I asked the Managing Editor if she ever read my blog and she said “no” (the heathen), but my stuff is still up if you dig deep enough. Cartoons, too. Maybe they forgot the stuff was there.
Hey, just for chuckles, let’s see how long it takes ’em to remove my stuff now that they know it’s still there! Of course, if it is removed it proves SOMEBODY over there reads FFT.
I mean, I wrote the junk when I worked for ’em, so I guess they can have it (though, I was never paid for my blogging). It would be interesting to learn who owns it, wouldn’t it? Maybe I should just copy it all over to FFT’s archives. Any legal beagles out there care to chime in?

Note: Don’t forget to stop by the Enjoy magazine offices (1605 Park Marina Drive) on Saturday, Dec. 13, for the 2nd Saturday ArtHop’s fundraiser for the Good News Rescue Mission. I’ll be scribbling little ‘toons and maybe throwing in a little soft shoe. Bring the kids! I’ve had my shots.
