North State Symphony celebrates the season in early December with family-friendly concerts featuring a variety of sacred and popular holiday music, including a carol singalong and post-concert reception with refreshments. The orchestra is joined by special guest artists Daun Weiss (Soprano) and the Shasta College Chorale under the direction of Elizabeth Waterbury.
“Our Holiday Concerts have become an annual tradition across the North State and are a wonderful communal experience of sharing great music, company, and delicious food,” says Scott Seaton, North State Symphony Music Director and Conductor. “Whether you’re 1 or 101, we hope you’ll join us as the year draws to a close, to enjoy, reflect, and raise your voices in a spirit of peace and goodwill.”
Performances take place on Friday, December 8th at 7:30 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chico (tickets at the University Box Office or at chicostatetickets.com); Saturday, December 9th at 7:30 pm at the State Theatre in Red Bluff (tickets at tehamaconcertseries.org); and Sunday, December 10th at 4 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church in Redding (tickets at the Cascade Theatre Box Office or cascadetheatre.org).
Generous community support is provided by Season Sponsor Dignity Health. In Redding, the Holiday Concert is sponsored by Red and Maria Emmerson, Scott Seaton’s appearance is sponsored by Robert and Margaret B. Maxey, and Daun Weiss’s appearance is sponsored by Don and Heidi Weidlein. The Red Bluff Holiday Concert is made possible through the support of the Tehama County Concert
