11-piece Aphrodesia’s rich blend of female vocals and horn-laden afrobeat, highlife, funk and global pop have garnered them accolades from National Public Radio to USA Today, and taken them to the Shrine nightclub in Lagos, Nigeria, to perform with the legendary Femi Kuti. Aphrodesia has also performed at Earthdance Festival, Aspen Jazz Festival, Harmony Festival, San Francisco’s Fillmore, and New York City’s S.O.B.’s, sharing the stage with artists such as Maceo Parker, Steel Pulse, the String Cheese Incident and the Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars.
