Bach’s immortal “Goldberg Variations” will be the centerpiece of a harpsichord recital by Dr. Robert Bowman on Friday, April 8 at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2850 Foothill Blvd. in Redding. Dr. Bowman will also play baroque keyboard masterpieces by Handel and Scarlatti. Dr. Bowman was for many years the director of the keyboard program at the CSU Chico Department of Music. Admission is free, and contributions are gratefully accepted. The concert, sponsored by the Redding Performing Arts Society, begins at 7:30 p.m.
