All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 2150 Benton Drive in Redding, will hold a Blessing of the Animals service at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6. The community is welcome and invited to bring pets or photos of pets. All animals are welcome and should be kept on a leash, in a carrier, or otherwise appropriately restrained at all times.
The church invites participants to celebrate the companionship and joy that pets bring, in the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi, who wrote, “All praise to you, O Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures.”
