St. Elizabeth Community Hospital Auxiliary Hosts Annual Spring Luncheon Fundraiser

The Auxiliary of St. Elizabeth Community Hospital has held a time-honored event for many years, the Annual Spring Luncheon, a fund raiser to benefit the works of the Sisters of Mercy and the hospital. This year the luncheon will be held on May 5th at the Red Bluff Community Center.  Tickets are $25 and proceeds will benefit the works of the Sisters of Mercy and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.

Though traditionally a ladies day well attended by many Tehama County residents and guests, the Auxiliary gladly welcomes any gentlemen brave enough to enjoy a room filled with joyful, spirited women sharing a common passion for fine food, fun shopping and community.
“The food is entirely prepared by dedicated volunteers and has always followed a delicious theme. This year’s fare is an International menu that will take the guests on a trip Around the World!” explains Linda Ezzat, fundraiser chairwoman. In past years, hospital employees have participated in a fashion show, however this year arrangements have been made for very unique and exciting entertainment; the lilting voice of performer Dorothy Clark of Diamond Entertainment will be followed by the exotic belly dancer, Leslie Talley from Troupe Zambalita of San Francisco.

In addition to the delicious food and exciting entertainment delightful wines of Burnsini Vineyards and R. Merlo Estate Vineyards will be served. “A key feature of the event is the gift baskets that are presented for drawing during the luncheon. Each basket is generously assembled and created by the various departments of the hospital.  The cost of the baskets are a personal expense of the employees and not one that is allocated to the hospital department,” explained Annemarie March, Volunteer Services Coordinator.  Proceeds from ticket sales for the baskets and the luncheon tickets will benefit the works of the Sisters of Mercy and the hospital.
