On March 1, 2011 at about 5:44 P.M. SHASCOM received a report of a man down in the area of Lu Lu’s Restaurant located at 2230 Pine St. in Redding. Witnesses reported that a male was bleeding from an unknown wound to his upper torso.
During the initial investigation, it was determined that Robert Leon Beem, 52 years of age, of Redding, CA. had been stabbed in the upper torso by a male subject during an argument. The male suspect fled the area on foot and hasn’t been located. The weapon that was used to stab Beem with is still outstanding.
Beem was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Beem’s injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening. Anyone having any additional information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Redding Police Department Investigations Division at 530-225-4214.
