What: Convention Center to offer free Holiday Open House

Redding residents are invited to soak up the holiday spirit at the Redding Convention Center’s “Twelve Days of Christmas” Holiday Open House, December 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free.
The Convention Center will be transformed into a winter wonderland decorated around the “Twelve Days of Christmas” theme, thanks to community volunteers. Inside, visitors will be treated to live entertainment by numerous groups, including the Foothill High School Symphonic and Jazz Ensemble, Kids Unlimited, Parsons “Music in Motion,” Enterprise High School Choir Ensemble and the Carillon Bell Ringers.
Participants are encouraged to bring their cameras to take advantage of photo opportunities throughout the building. Or they can have their photos taken by staff members.
This is the first time the Convention Center has held the event. The building will remain decorated during the month of December for use by community organizations who utilize it for their holiday functions. It is located at 700 Auditorium Drive.
