On 11/19/10 at about 9:45 PM there was a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision at Railroad and Grandview Avenue. The injured pedestrian has been identified as Chad Clarence Keiser- Todd, 18 of Anderson. Todd sustained severe injuries, is still hospitalized but is expected to recover. The investigation has found that Todd was legally crossing the roadway at the time of the collision. The driver of the vehicle Kathy Vehling was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and did not yield Todd’s right of way in the roadway when she collided with him. The case is being forwarded to the Shasta County District Attorneys office for charges of felony DUI.
