Bonnes Fêtes 2022! Merry Christmas!

Greetings all—

Time for my annual bit of nonsense. It was a heck of a year, challenges throughout the months both personal and world-wide. Events tested our mettle across the planet and we surprised ourselves that we’re still able to stand. We discovered we are who we are, for better or worse, and that’s okay. Like the old adage (attributed to a range of folks from Johnathan Swift to Robert Heinlein), “Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig.” Be comfortable in your own skin. Celebrate who you are. Accept the mixed bag of humankind. Don’t annoy the pig who can’t change.

Who knows?

The pig may learn to sing on its own.

Heartfelt wishes for health, happiness—and a song or two—for 2023.
