Shasta College – SCOACHE Black History Month Celebration

Shasta College’s Office of Student Equity and Inclusion will partner with SCOACHE* and the Shasta Historical Society to host the 2018 annual Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, February 22nd beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the Shasta College Student Center Stage located in the 2000 building. The evening will include inspiring presentations, dinner, and entertainment all provided free of charge and open to the public. [*SCOACHE is the Shasta Coalition of African Americans for Community Health, Education, and Empowerment.]

The theme of this year’s event is Social Movements. Presentations will include a welcome by Instructor Lena Baker, keynote speaker Myriam Kalmogho, the Shasta Historical Society, and a panel of students who will share stories of success and persistence facilitated by Shasta College Instructor Cherie Hunt.
