Shasta College presents the 70th Annual Art Student Exhibit, May 3– May 16. Jurors Melanie Ross and Travis Collinson will choose an exhibit from the work of student artists, who submitted over 400 entries, and award the most exceptional pieces with cash and merchandise awards totaling over $1000. Melanie Ross works at the intersection between art and technology stemming from her time as the Director of the Dolby Chadwick Gallery in San Francisco. Her partner Travis Collinson is an accomplished and award-winning Bay Area Artist. The exhibition will feature a wide range of pieces, spanning all genres and media.
The Juror’s Lecture will be on Friday, April 28, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Room 400 on the Shasta College Main Campus. The Reception and Awards Ceremony will be on Thursday, May 4, from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. in the Shasta College Art Gallery. This is a free event and is open to the public.
