Results and Canvass Update March 7, 2023 City of Shasta Lake – Special Vacancy Election

Cathy Darling Allen, Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters wishes to inform the public and the media about the canvass procedures for the March 7, 2023 City of Shasta Lake – Special Vacancy Election.

Election results were updated to include all ballots received through today 03/09/2023.  We are still required by law to accept ballots that were post marked on or before Election Day through March 14, 2023.

Below is an estimated count of unprocessed ballots that we have in our office. It is just that, an estimate. We are still processing these ballots, including verifying the signature and the eligibility of the voter. Voters who have received a challenge letter have until March 21, 2023, to turn in paperwork and cure their ballot. Ballots cured by or before March 21 will still be counted.
