Shasta College Spring Plant Sale

The Annual Shasta College Horticulture Department’s Plant Sale is back in person this spring and celebrating its 51st season! The Plant Sale will be on Friday, April 8 from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 9 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Shasta College Farm.

Thousands of plants will be on sale, including annual bedding and cut flowers, perennials, herbs, succulents, and a large variety of vegetable starts. Trees, shrubs, California native plants, and house plants will also be on sale. Many plants are hard to find or unusual, and all are selected to grow in the Redding area. There are also a wide variety of Certified Organic vegetable starts. All plants are sustainably grown by students.

Anyone unable to attend in person may order vegetable and bedding plants online from https://www.shastacollege.edu/the-community/farm-nursery-shop/ starting on April 11, 2022. All proceeds will help support Shasta College’s Horticulture Program and student scholarships. In addition, Shasta Master Gardener, Native Plant Society members, and Horticulture students or Shasta College faculty will be available to answer any of your gardening questions.

The California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will also be on-site selling a wide selection of California Native plants to raise funds for local student scholarships and restoration.
