Question: If I’m on quarantine and I test negative, can I end my quarantine early? Answer: Quarantine is necessary if you have been within 6 feet of a positive patient for more than 15 minutes, because you may have gotten COVID-19 from that person. If you don’t develop symptoms, your quarantine lasts for 10 days after your last exposure to that person, because that’s the period of time in which you could become infectious. You should continue to monitor for symptoms through Day 14 after your exposure. Public Health recommends that you get tested, but in most cases, it will not end your quarantine early. • The state has released new guidance for live events and entertainment with audiences. Shasta County is in the red tier, so this means that effective April 1, outdoor venues can open for performances or events with live audiences with a maximum 20 percent capacity. Audiences are limited to California residents and advance reservations are required, among other modifications.
