Shasta College is pleased to offer their ever-popular Vineyard Care class (AGVIT-81, section number S4470) on Saturday 9:00 a.m.-11:50 a.m. starting on March 13, 2021. The course will meet in the Organic Vineyard at the College once per week until May 15, 2021, with lecture content online. Shasta College brings the Vineyard Care class back from a long hiatus after receiving several requests for the skills and information it teaches.
This class covers grape vineyards’ care and maintenance, including; planting, propagation, pruning, thinning, irrigation, harvesting, and other cultural practices. The course covers both conventional and organic management methods. This course would benefit students interested in both commercial production and home vineyard or orchard care.
