• Shasta County remains in the orange (moderate) category of the new four-tier system after the state updated its weekly numbers yesterday. To move forward, a county must meet the next tier’s criteria for two consecutive weeks. If a county’s metrics worsen for two consecutive  weeks, it will be assigned a more restrictive tier. Learn more at ShastaReady.org – click “Data and Statistics” for additional data, and click “Roadmap to Recovery” to learn what is open in each tier.

• Anyone can be tested for COVID-19 and same-day appointments are often available. Average turnaround time for tests at the Shasta College site last week was 60 hours, or between 2 and 3 days. Go to ShastaReady.org and click on “Get tested” to find out the best option for you.
