Current Situation:

•We have one new positive case today. The patient is a man in his 50s, and he is isolated at home.

•Since Shasta County has documented community transmission of COVID-19, the causes are no longer being reported. Contact tracing is still being conducted to quarantine people who were in contact with the person who tested positive.

•For clarity, two new numbers have been added to the summary: total tests to date and total tests completed today.

•More testing is now available in Shasta County. People who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) should contact their healthcare provider to request a test. People who don’t have a healthcare provider should call Shasta County Public Health at (530) 225-5591.
