Old City Hall Temporary Closure in Response to COVID-19

The Shasta County Arts Council has decided to suspend public hours of the Old
City Hall Arts Center from now until March 31, 2020. Weekly classes and performances scheduled for March are also suspended, with performances to be rescheduled for later dates.

This decision is made following the health and safety recommendations coming from the federal government, Governor Newsom’s office as well as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We continue to monitor the situation and continue to work alongside our community partners to help minimize the risk of spreading of the virus.

Our current gallery exhibition – the 21st Annual Juried High School Art Competition will be available online at https://www.shastaartscouncil.org/exhibit-year/2020/.

The grant-funded writing workshops are taking a hiatus, but technology can be used to contact the workshop facilitator and continue working on your project. Visit our website for details!

If you have purchased tickets to David Short’s concert, they will remain valid for admission to the concert at a rescheduled date. New date TBA.

Old City Hall Arts Center can be reached by phone Monday – Friday, noon – 5pm at 530.241.7320.

We would like to express our gratitude for the community’s continuing support in these difficult times. Please keep looking for further updates as we all navigate this trying situation.
