Don’t miss an opportunity for one-stop giving at www.northstategives.org on Giving Tuesday, this year on December 3rd. This worldwide recognized day of giving back follows two days of holiday ‘deals’ at Thanksgiving time – Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Shasta Regional Community Foundation is hosting North State Giving Tuesday, a 14-hour online giving event at www.northstategives.org, where a minimum donation of $10 may be made to over 170 registered local nonprofits. “This secure, online giving opportunity not only allows our community to recognize the hard work of our local nonprofits through donations, but also helps them win extra prize and incentive dollars so they can continue to do extraordinary work in our Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama County communities,” said Program Officer Amanda Hutchings of the Community Foundation.
Using the www.northstategives.org website, donors can search for and discover nonprofits by name, location or field of interest. Like bill-pay banking, a donor can register, schedule and choose any organization to support in advance, beginning November 19th and the transaction will process on December 3rd. Gifts can be made using e-check, credit or debit card options.
A video depicting how the website interface works was produced for the Community Foundation by Pusher, Inc. and can be viewed on the website homepage at www.northstategives.org. “Our presenting sponsor, Merchants Bank of Commerce, has been a steadfast supporter of North State Giving Tuesday since day one,” said Kerry Caranci, Chief Executive Officer of Shasta Regional Community Foundation. “They continue to make meaningful investments in our region through their ongoing support of this event and we are so grateful for this partnership.”
The online only event is from 6 A.M. – 8 P.M. PST on Tuesday, December 3rd at www.northstategives.org. Follow the excitement of the day on social media via the Community Foundation’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram sites (Shasta RCF) and #NorthStateGivingTuesday.
