On September 22, 2019, at approximately 0545 hours, a Deputy Coroner Investigator was dispatched to the Shasta County Jail located at 1655 West Street in Redding, California regarding the death of an inmate.
The decedent was positively identified as 31 year old John David Adena of Redding, California. The decedent’s next-of-kin has been notified and a postmortem examination will be scheduled. This case is under investigation by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, Major Crimes Unit.
