Grant Toler, Boy Scout from Troop 111 delivered crosses and flags to the Shasta Masonic Cemetery as part of his Eagle Scout project. Grant and a few boys from Troop 111 spent the morning going to each veteran’s grave site, placing a cross with a flag and a red carnation. Grant, along with members of the troop, made the crosses and purchased the flags from donations he received. The benefactor of Grant’s project is the Western Star Lodge #2. The project has special significance for Grant as it’s the same project his brother, Seth Toler, did for his Eagle Scout project but, when the Carr fire came through the area Seth’s crosses and flags were all burned.
