On December 11, 2018, at about 2:19 p.m., Officers with the Redding Police Department were dispatched to 2851 Park Marina Drive, regarding a subject breaking out windows to a vehicle. Officers contacted Dane Brayman, age 39, of Antelope, CA in the parking lot. Mr. Brayman was angry that his vehicle ran out of gas and he used large rocks to break the windows. Mr. Brayman was warned to stay off the property as per the business owner’s request.
At 3:42 p.m., Officers were again dispatched to the parking lot. Mr. Brayman was in the process of setting his vehicle on fire with a road flare. Mr. Brayman began to walk away when Officers attempted to contact him. The vehicle was fully engulfed when Fire personnel arrived. The fire damaged the asphalt in the parking lot. Mr. Brayman was ultimately detained and arrested for resisting arrest, trespassing, and arson.
