A Community Picnic is being held on Friday, November 23rd (Black Friday – the day after Thanksgiving) at the First United Methodist Church at South and East Streets in Redding. The event begins at 10 a.m. Its purpose is to feed the poor and homeless in our local area, but everyone is welcome to share a meal with friends, neighbors, and people you’ve just met. All food will be provided free. This picnic is being sponsored by the United Way of Northern California and the Shasta-Tehama-Trinity County Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). For more details, call Don Yost at 241-8421.
