CARR FIRE REPOPULATION
WHAT: All remaining Evacuation orders related to the Carr Fire are lifted.
WHEN: August 15, 2018 at 2:30 P.M.
WHERE: All remaining evacuation orders related to the Carr Fire have been lifted. Per closure order CA-360-18-03 and 14-18-12 the public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the United States Forest Service will remain closed to the public until further review of potential hazards can be determined and mitigated.

CURRENT SITUATION
Situation Summary: Safety is a priority as Firefighters continued to secure and construct containment lines through the evening. Firing operations in the interior of the fire continued as favorable conditions allowed. In less active areas of the fire, mop up and patrol continued. Steep terrain, dry vegetation, and variable winds
have challenged firefighting efforts. Smoke over the area has reduced visibility and moderated fire activity.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 2 is extending road openings hours for State Route 299 between Redding and Weaverville, effective on Tuesday, August 14 at 6:00 P.M.
