Local Assistance Center Offers One Stop Recovery Assistance for Carr Fire

Information about everything from discarding inoperable vehicles to finding housing is available at the Local Assistance Center, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Shasta High School, 2500 Eureka Way in Redding.

The center is a one-stop-shop for recovery assistance and provides services and resource referrals after a disaster. Service providers include:

  •  Shasta County Health & Human Services Agency
  •  Shasta County Assessor
  •  Shasta County Clerk
  •  Shasta County Vital Records
  •  Shasta County Environmental Health
  •  Shasta County Office of Education/Early Childhood Services
  •  Social Security Administration
  •  Shasta County Veterans Service Office
  •  Department of Veterans Affairs
  •  Veterans Resource Center
  •  Contractors State License Board
  •  California Department of Insurance
  •  Employment Developmental Department (EDD)
  •  Franchise Tax Board
  •  California Department of Tax and Fee
  •  U.S. Postal Service
  •  City of Redding Housing Division
  •  Utilities
  •  Insurance companies, including Partnership HealthPlan of California
  •  Various private non-profits
