Redding local Brian Davis joined The Race Across America as Crew and Medical Support

Shasta Orthopaedics is proud to announce that their Physican Assistant, Brian Davis, had an integral role in Godspeed, a bike race that tested the rider’s physical endurance while raising money for Haiti.

Davis, PA-C at Shasta Orthopaedics, had the opportunity to be the assistant crew chief of Team Enduring Hope in the Race Across America 2015. This two man racing team was filmed in a documentary called Godspeed, which follows the story behind Brad Cooper and Jerry Schemmel, two men in their 50s. Jerry has an artificial knee and Brad raced with a broken collarbone, a broken pelvis, four broken ribs and lacerations sustained during a training ride six weeks prior to the race. Starting in Oceanside, AC, this 3,000-mile race crossed 12 states and is one of the most challenging races in the world.

This movie documents why The Race Across America is called the “World’s Toughest Bike Race”. This award-winning documentary will be playing on Tuesday night, May 22nd, at Movies 14 in Redding and in theaters across the country.
