Temple Beth Israel’s Holocaust Community Education Committee presents: Finding the Courage to Defend the Other in Our Post-Holocaust Times featuring the film 50 Children: The Rescue Mission of Mr. and Mrs. Kraus
Please join us for a showing of the film 50 Children: The Rescue Mission of Mr. and Mrs. Kraus. This 2013 HBO documentary tells the story of ordinary people who choose to react to the dehumanization of Jews in Nazi-occupied Austria. Diane Svenson, the daughter of one of the 50 children, will introduce the film. Dr. Steve Zlotowski, also the child of a Holocaust survivor, will share his story and help us to think about how the heroic efforts of the Kraus’ can affect us personally to take action when we see others dehumanized.
