
A Redding man was stabbed while trying to break up an altercation between another man and a woman.
On January 26, 2018, at about 8:54 P.M., Officers were dispatched to the Capri Motel, regarding a stabbing that just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the victim, 27 year old Sean Mccune, of Redding. Mccune was suffering from multiple stab wounds. He told Officers that he was walking in the area with his girlfriend when he observed a female he knew as “Sphinx” being assaulted by an unknown male. Mccune intervened and was stabbed multiple times by the male.
The suspect, described as a white male adult in his thirties, with dark short hair, fled the scene and was not located. The victim was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
