On January 15, 2018, at approximately 12:48 A.M., Shascom Dispatch received two calls regarding reports of multiple shots fired from Edgewood Drive in North Redding. Officers searched the neighborhood and ultimately located several spent shell casings in the street, ranging from the 1400 block to the 1100 block of Edgewood Drive. A witness was located and provided the description of a possible suspect vehicle. The vehicle was a dark sedan and was last seen leaving the subdivision toward the area of Kirkwood Drive.
Numerous residents in the neighborhood were contacted to check their welfare. No evidence was located to suggest any people, houses, or vehicles were struck by gunfire.
The Redding Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) and/or vehicle that were involved in the shooting. The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigation’s Division of the Redding Police Department.
