This fall Shasta College is producing Arthur Miller’s classic play The Crucible. Inspired by the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s The Crucible, focuses on the inconsistencies of the Salem witch trials and the extreme behavior that can result from dark desires and hidden agendas. Miller based the play on historical accounts of the Salem trials.
Audition Information: Auditions for The Crucible are August 21nd and 22nd at 5 pm in the Shasta College Theatre. Callbacks will be held August 24th at 5 pm and are by invitation only. Please prepare a monologue no longer than two minutes. Monologues will be provided for those who do not have one memorized. Everyone in the community is welcome to audition with casting ages ranging from teenagers to senior citizens!
Performance dates are: October 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 at 7 pm. There are two matinee performances on October 15th and 22rd at 2 pm. There is also a student matinee performance October 20th at 11 am. All performances are at the Shasta College Theatre.
