Love the look of the ducks and the additional ones in the mirror of the lake.  Thank you for the moment of beauty.

Ohmygosh, how absolutely beautiful these ducks are !  Very lovely photo, thank you so much for posting it Mr. Dowling.  It says “Expanding North American beaver populations throughout the wood duck’s range have also helped the population rebound as beavers create an ideal forested wetland habitat for wood ducks.” Once again showing how intertwined all of us different species on earth are.  When one goes it heightens the inevitability that we all go.  The great Mother Earth is a finely delicate creature.

Makes perfect sense to me.  They do like the calmer, pond-like waters on the creek.  I’m told setting out nesting boxes has been a big help, too.
