If you’re a patient in the North State area, cancer is one of the most terrifying diagnoses you can receive. If you receive such a diagnosis, there is a new physician to offer advanced treatment and hope. Dr. Dyanesh Ravindran, M.D., F.A.C.P., a Hematologist and Medical Oncologist, has joined the staff of Dignity Health Mercy Oncology Center. Dr. Ravindran, a diplomate board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine, has had his individual practice since 1998. He has also been the Chief of Oncology at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital as well as a Chair for the Department of Medicine. He has been Medical Director of Accolade Hospice and is experienced in the treatment of cancer and blood disorders.
“I want each patient I see and treat to know that I listen to their concerns and that I’m there for them,” says Dr. Ravindran. “I understand that certain diagnoses can be frightening and I want to make them feel better, emotionally as well as physically. Patients need comprehensive care and part of that care is being there. That’s humankindess and it should be ever present. I believe that everyone should engage in humankindness, that it should become second nature to everyone.”
Dr. Ravindran practices at Dignity Health Mercy Oncology Center, 310 Hartnell Avenue Redding, CA 96002. For more information about our services, visit dignityhealth.org or call 530.245.2900.
