Second Annual Airports for Autism to Take Place at Benton Airpark on World Autism Day – Saturday April 2, 2016

The Second Annual Airports for Autism will take place at Benton Airpark on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The event includes a 5k race, 2 mile fun run, and Community Fair. Registration for the races is open now at www.run5k.RFENC.org. Event day Registration opens at 8:00 a.m., with the 5k race starting at 9:00 a.m., and the Fun Run getting underway at 9:15 a.m.

Registration fees are $15-$20 for the Fun Run and 5k. The Community Fair is free to the public and will feature local vendors, music, and a variety of donation drawings.

Registered participants will receive a free event t-shirt, and will receive free entry tickets to the donation drawings. Prizes include two (2) free airline tickets on PenAir, Redding’s newest air carrier, a gas grill donated by the Home Depot, a gift certificate to Peter Chu’s Restaurant, a raffle basket donated by Dutch Bros, and a free scenic flight donated by Benton Air Center. Winners must be present to claim their prize!

Event proceeds will benefit Rowell Family Empowerment, a parent founded and parent oriented non-profit organization. Rowell strives to empower people with diverse abilities, and their families, to live as respected and valued members throughout their communities by providing support, education, and advocacy services.
