In this Caltrans News Flash, we learn how State agencies are preparing Californians for the severe weather El Niño is expected to bring. Caltrans, the California Highway Patrol, and the Office of Traffic Safety want the public to be alert while traveling on California’s many roadways.

The video reminds motorists to:

  •          Pay attention to barricades.
  •          Find an alternate way around flooded roads.
  •          Never drive through standing water deeper than six inches.

The public should also check the Governor’s website for storm readiness information at storms.ca.gov.
