In April 2015, the Redding City Council selected Matrix Consulting Group to prepare a Blueprint for Public Safety, an action-oriented strategic plan for reducing crime and enhancing public safety in the Redding area.
The final report was presented to Shasta County Supervisors and the Redding City Council on December 15, 2015. Following that presentation, the Council voted to direct the City Manager to work with the County Executive Officer to develop an implementation team relative to the report.
