On December 16, 2015 an autopsy was performed on the two deceased juveniles found by the Redding Police Department on December 13, 2015. Based on information obtained during the investigation it was determined that the children’s deaths occurred outside of Shasta County. The Salinas Police Department and the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office will now be the lead investigative agencies. The Redding Police Department and the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office will continue to assist as needed.
