The Redding Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect in the attached photographs. The unidentified white male adult entered the Shell gas station, located at 18850 Old Oasis Road on October 12th, 2015 at approximately 5:45 AM.
The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded cash from the clerk. A brief struggle ensued between the suspect and the clerk, after which time the suspect fled the business without obtaining any cash. The suspect was described as a white male adult, approximately 25 – 30 years of age, medium build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black baseball cap and black bandana.
On September 19th, 2015 at approximately 1:44 AM, the Motel 6, located at 2385 Bechelli Lane was robbed by a similar looking suspect, also armed with a firearm. At this time it is believed the same suspect is responsible for both robberies.
The Redding Police Department would like to advise people, who may be victims of similar crimes in the future, not to attempt to struggle with a suspect armed with a firearm who is only demanding cash.
