On the above date and time, deputies from the City of Shasta Lake station were dispatched to a stabbing that had just occurred at the Drive-In Market on Hill Blvd. Upon arrival deputies located Jeff Abbott of Redding, leaving the area on foot, with a stab wound to his upper torso. Abbott told deputies he was “jumped” by 3-4 people for an unknown reason. Abbott could not identify or describe the suspects. Abbott was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies conducted several interviews of witnesses in the area and were unable to obtain a good description of the suspect(s). The only information obtained was a clean shaven white male was seen leaving the area on an all black Harley Davidson motorcycle with black leather saddle bags. This case is still under investigation.
