On Monday, August 11th, 2014, Zachary Lee Kauffman, 37 years of French Gulch, surrendered to the Taos County Sheriff’s Department in New Mexico. Kauffman had been listed as a member of Shasta County’s Most wanted since March 22nd, 2014.
Redding Police Department Investigators received information from the public indicating Kauffman had fled the Shasta County area and was possibly in New Mexico. Investigators contacted the Taos County Sheriff’s Department and advised them that Kauffman was reportedly living in Taos County.
Kauffman is the 200th person arrested as a result of the Shasta County’s Most Wanted program. 23 wanted subjects remain outstanding and five new names are added each week.

A reward of up to $250.00 is being offered through Secret Witness of Shasta County, for information leading to the arrest of any current member of Shasta County’s Most Wanted.
