Multiple arrests made in marijuana raids

On July 7th, 8th, and 9th, Agents with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Marijuana Investigative Team, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force served multiple search warrants at different locations within Shasta County.

On Monday July  7th,  Agents  with the  Shasta  County Sheriff’s  Office  Marijuana Investigative Team,California Fish and Wildlife and Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force served a Shasta County Search Warrant  at  23673  Whitmore  Road  in  Millville,  CA and  5845  Bell  Road  in  Redding,  CA.   At  the Whitmore address, 125 growing marijuana plants were found growing inside the building along with multiple pounds of marijuana shake. At the Bell Road address, Allan Beer was detained without incident. During the course of the search warrant, 82 marijuana plants were found in an indoor cultivation site, 77 marijuana plants in an outdoor site and approximately 300 marijuana clones were found inside the residence. Approximately 16 pounds of processed marijuana, digital scales, and concentrated cannabis were found inside the residence along with other evidence supporting sales. During the course of the investigation, Beer was found to be responsible for growing marijuana at both addresses. Beer was transported the Shasta County Jail and booked for marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale.

On July 8th, Agents with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Investigative Team and California Fish and Wildlife served a Shasta County Search Warrant at 13590 Lago Rosso Court in Bella Vista. Upon arrival, Elmer Buxton and Cameron Hamm were taken into custody without incident. 707 growing marijuana plants were found growing inside two structures on the property, as well as an additional 82 marijuana plants at an outdoor site. Approximately 4 pounds of processed marijuana was seized as well as digital scales and 13 firearms. Both Buxton and Hamm were transported to the Shasta County Jail and booked for marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, conspiracy and being armed while committing a felony.

 On July 9th, Agents with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Investigative Team and California Fish and Wildlife served a Shasta County Search Warrant Shasta at 187 Straight Arrow Road in Igo, CA. Upon arrival Cha Lee Vang was detained. During the course of the investigation, approximately 15 pounds of processed marijuana was seized, 132 marijuana plants and $1, 231.00 in U.S. Currency. Due to multiple animals and livestock being present on the property without anybody to care for them, Vang was cited and released on scene for marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale. The case will be submitted the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.

 Also on July 9th, Agents entered an area of a suspected illegal marijuana cultivation at a rural piece of land off Straight Arrow Road in Igo, CA. Marcos L. Cueto-Macedo and Rafael Nino were found inside one grow site and were detained. 192 growing marijuana plants were subsequently eradicated from two grows sites. Both Cueto-Macedo and Nino were transported to the Shasta County Jail and booked for marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale and conspiracy.
