On 06/20/2014, the Redding Police Department responded to a stabbing at 1616 Willis St., in Redding. During the investigation, a stabbing victim was found deceased and officers from the Redding Police Department encountered an armed subject who was subsequently shot by officers. The subject shot by officers also died at the scene.
A postmortem exam was conducted on both deceased subjects by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office. The victim of the stabbing has been identified as Christen Allenclark. Circumstances regarding Allenclark’s death is being investigated by the Redding Police Department.
The suspect shot by responding officers has been identified as Ray Dakota Scholfield. Circumstances regarding Scholfield death is being investigated by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. All questions regarding these cases should be referred to the respective Investigating Agency.
