“Getting to Zero”

…Is the theme selected by the World AIDS Campaign (WAC) to commemorate this year’s World AIDS Day. The new theme, that will be used until 2015, echoes the UNAIDS vision of achieving “Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths.”

Observed worldwide on 1 December since 1998, World AIDS Day is the moment of the year where millions of people come together across the globe to commemorate people who lost their lives to HIV, applaud progress made in responding to the epidemic and recommit to ending the epidemic.

Come to this FREE community training and learn all about HIV and HOW it’s spread & WHY the African American community is especially hard hit by this epidemic. We will also provide FREE, ANONYMOUS, Rapid HIV TESTS for anyone who wants to KNOW THEIR STATUS!!!

DID YOU KNOW? At some point of their lifetimes, an estimated 1 in 16 Black men and 1 in 32 Black women will be diagnosed with HIV infection. EVER WONDER WHY?
